Tunnel Update

Week 3 Tomatoes

Look at these Beauties! Cucumber Buds!

Last Saturday morning, my friend Itai went back to Zimbabwe to settle some issues with his I.D. and get his passport.  As I have mentioned, he has been the brains behind everything you have seen in the tunnel project.  His knowledge has blown me away and everything he does, the plants seem to like.  So…….on Monday, I arrived on campus to take his place for the next three weeks!  I made it about 20 minutes before we noticed and insect infestation.  I frantically ran around to find out what these little critters were and what to do.  I did mange to get things sorted but I didn’t get home until 7:00.  On Tuesday, my computerized irrigation system malfunctioned and lost all of it’s settings.  I couldn’t figure out how to reset the timer so I set the machine to manual and manually watered every two hours (during the day) until this morning.  Hopefully these last few days aren’t a reflection of what is to come the next 2 1/2 weeks.
This week, I also started helping Richard teach the Entrepreneurial Training Course offered at Living Way.  I didn’t know how I would enjoy the classroom setting….it’s been a while!  The last three days have been a blast!  I have enjoyed starting this journey with the students!  They have great business ideas and they seem eager to learn!  I look forward to the journey ahead!

My first group of Students! Great people!
