Most everyday, I wake up with an agenda of things I intend to accomplish.  Before I get out the door of my house, minor alterations are already being made to that agenda.  My wife will ask me to do something for her or my children will look at me with that “I need a hug” look and I will sit in the floor and hug on them for a while.  Since helping my wife and hugging on my children are two of my favorite things, they push themselves into my schedule, scrambling everything else.

I pray that as time passes, unimportant agendas won’t keep me from doing the things that mean the most this side of eternity.  There is no company big enough, no call important enough, no sale crucial enough, and no dollar worth enough to forsake those things that mean the most to me.  I see to many families struggling to get through the gauntlet of life because “DAD” is to busy.  It is easy to do.  I am a husband and dad that struggles with this daily.   I leave you today with the below:

Ecclesiastes 9:9-10  “Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He (God) has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity; for that is your portion in life, and in the labor which you perform under the sun.  Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.”
