Proverbs 4:7 says, “Wisdom is the principle thing; Therefore, get wisdom.  And in all your getting, get understanding.”

Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived.  When God gave asked him what he wanted, Solomon replied “give me wisdom and knowledge.” (1 Chronicles 1:10)  Solomon wanted wisdom more than anything else.  After God granted his request, Solomon used his wisdom to attain great military and economic power.  One definition of wisdom is, “the ability to live life skillfully.”  The wise understand “the fear of the Lord.” (Proverbs 2:5)  Once this is nailed down in our minds, the rest of life begins to make better sense.  We can more skillfully navigate to step 2,3,4 and so on once we have nailed down step 1.

“Science is organized knowledge. Wisdom is organized life.”  Immanuel Kant
