“Failing to do right is just as much a sin as doing wrong.” (Quote from “The Journey”)

I have been convicted lately that I need to be more actively involved in seeking out ways to make a difference.  People all around need a helping hand, a word of encouragment, or just to be acknowledged.  It’s very simple really.  We miss countless opportunities daily because we are indulged in our own self-interest.  After all, that is what our society promotes as the way to happiness.

I have started making a pointed effort everyday to make a difference in one person’s life.  It may be simply saying a kind word to the young girl handing my food through the McDonald’s drive thru window, or going by and seeing an elderly friend when I notice a gap in my schedule.  It is amazing how good it makes me feel!  I like seeing the smiles on their faces.  I like it so much, I think I will keep doing it!
